An essential collection for any Final Fantasy fan.
6 fantastic games with a fresh coat of paint, remastered audio and music. These are as close to definitive as you can get. And they are all on cart and help round out the other FF titles on Switch. You now have FF 1-10 all on Switch physically. 12 as well as the likes of Crisis Core.

USA version was sold out-- neat that this one wasn't
At the time of purchase, the anneversary version (USA region) was not announced or available. I don't particularly care. It's in English, and I don't expect retro classics are going to have DLC I could have any remote form of FOMO over. At the end of the day, this asian release still is a first edition and fully supports English as well as Asian languages. I'd also argue the cover art is cleaner due to not requiring that ESRB logo on the cover, but that's a bit beside the point.

I have no complaints with this region version of FF Pixel Remaster. I do think it's important that I state that the cartridge clearly says "LA-H-BAQ7A-JPN" on the bottom of the front label. Meaning, if it ever does have DLC, you will have to purchase from the Japanese/asian eshop. But this is incredibly unlikely. And if it ever does happen, I still think it would be a minor inconvenience.

I already own all of these on the PSVita (in form of mixed PSOne classics and PSP rereleases), but there's enhancements worthwhile enough for me to forget I even own those digital PSVita purchases. I hate having to choose names for characters on these old titles with no defaults. Thankfully titles like FF1 (and anything else without default character names) allow random name generation. So much easier to pick up and play.
