Following the March digital release of Seiko Matsuda's cover of "Hitomiwa Diamond" by Kengo Kakudate of YOGEE NEW WAVES, a 7-inch release (with karaoke on the B-side only for the vinyl version) will be released.
Seiko Matsuda, Yu Hayami, Yukiko Okada... The project will highlight the "music production" side of Sun Music, which produced many popular singers and idols from the 1970s to the 1980s, and deliver its excellent musical assets to the younger generation of Japan and music fans around the world. This project will be launched with Takumi Yuge, who is active as a fashion designer, art director, and record store owner, as label producer. The first project will feature Kengo Kakudate of YOGEE NEW WAVES. He will cover a song by Seiko Matsuda, whom Kakudate admires and even performs at his own live shows. He will reinterpret that classic song with Kakudate's fresh sensibility and singing.
