description

"Train to become the ultimate weapon!"

The Ghost Blade is an ace shoot 'em up for the Dreamcast with a focus on arcade action and an elaboratescoring system. Think 1990's shooter gameplay, with an impressive 2010 graphics style (made all the more impressive by the DC's 1998 release).

When Earth has been invaded by an alien race who threaten humanity's very existence. To destroy this menace, the Earth's Army launches its new powerful weapon: Ghost Blade, the most lethal, fastest spaceship developed by mankind!

The Ghost Blade consists of 3 different gameplay modes, with 3 different player ships to choose from. The included modes are '5 Stage Mode', a challenging 'Caravan Mode' (2min/5min), 'Time Attack', and last but certainly not least: all new 2-Player mode! All modes support both TATE (“3:4”) and YOKO (“4:3”) output at 480p.

We highly recommend our readers check out the developer blog as it is a great way to see through the looking glass into the world of developing Dreamcast games! With tons of updates and screenshots directly from the developers, HUCAST, you can watch as the title progresses and takes shape!

Cave Returns to the World of Physical Releases
I used to enjoy importing the Cave releases on the Xbox 360, in addition to this very game on the Playstation 3, but then Cave started making mobile games, which was a bit disappointing, so it's nice to see them back releasing physical copies of their beloved library. While Ketsui wouldn't have been my first pick, it's still a phenomenal shooter that is a favorite of shooter fans. It is a bit more costly, as Cave games tend to be, but at least my copy included the art book (only included in first print copies) to sweeten the deal a little.

As good as it ever was, and then some!
One of Cave's best shmups gets the full ShotTriggers treatment with this release; the game's as awesome as it ever was, but with the addition of challenge modes and more it can become a completely fresh experience.
All the DLC is included on the disk release too, making the physical release preferable to the Japanese only digital release.
Also an extra mark for having one of the best OST's Cave ever put on a game!

Okay
There are not many physical releases for Vita, so having Tachyon is a good idea. The controls (one guy is really emotional here in reviews) are quite usual for many 2d shooters, though require some skill while mastering.
