Revisit the classic
HD remake a classic is always easier than making a whole new one. "Halo"was the classic that day of original Xbox, when it reborn on HD format, You probably know what you will get: Yes, HD, that`s all. the gameplay is the same, nothing change except the graphic, sound and music. So basically you are playing the same game.
but the backbone is so great, I guess players won`t care that much...
