הסיפור של VANQUISH™ מתרחש בעתיד הקרוב. רוסיה והאחים המאוחדים מתחרים על בעלות על משאבי האנרגיה המתדלדלים במהירות בעולם וארה"ב בנתה תחנת חלל כדי לנצל אנרגיה מהשמש. כוחות רוסים תופסים את תחנת החלל הזו וסוטים את אנרגיית השמש שנקטפה לגל פיצוץ שהורס את סן פרנסיסקו, במטרה להכריח את ארה"ב להיכנע מלא וללא תנאי. בתגובה, ארה"ב משימה את כוחותיה המזוינים במשימה לשחזר את תחנת החלל לפני שהרוסים יוכלו להשמיד את המטרה הבאה שלהם – ניו יורק.

this is same company that brought us Godhand and Bayonetta ........and they deliver with heart stopping action all the way thru..

Powerful graphics and gameplay

Honestly more like 3.5 stars

The action here is solid. REALLY solid! and the game play is really fun. The dioluge is terrible. SO terrible I could not stomach to play the game twice. I started but the dialogue was so gut wrenching poor I could not sit through it anymore. The story is convoluted and totally pointless. It could be 100% none existent and would not make a difference on your motivation to kill and get to the next check point.
I am being 100% honest when I say this, the game makers are very juvenile and irresponsible in that this game is almost an ad for smoking. they smoke all the time in this game, throw it in your face, and even have lines like "you should always smoke if you get the chance." At least MGS4 had disclaimers that smoking is bad for your health. Smoking is so prevalent in this game is down right distracting. You can even use a ciggerate to distract the enemies, which is cool but do we really need a running commentary on who you should smoke when ever you get the chance. Is that really the public message you want to promote with your game?

science-fiction thriller with GOW gameplay and some crazy speed

Overall this game looks awesome. Vanquish is a stylish, spectacular game with great gunplay and some stunning set pieces. Non-stop action with superb bosses and some cheesy dialogue.

Good Action Game

Really good third person shooter game, easy to get into... heard it was a little short (didn't each the end of the game yet though), but is an excelent choice for those who are recently getting into this game genre and casual players.
