"She" is her lover, wife, daughter, and mother. Her classmates, colleagues and childhood friends. There will be more relationships. With her admiration and respect for all such women, I continue to draw pictures of "she". Hisashi Eguchi (from the preface).
Reproduced "Hisashi Eguchi Illustration Exhibition Girlfriend" that mobilized about 50,000 people at 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa, Akashi Municipal Cultural Museum, and Shimodate Museum. Hisashi Eguchi has been particular about portraying women, including comics, magazines, and posters. Approximately 350 illustrations of her woman are included from her numerous works that have been produced in her creative activities over 40 years. More than 40 works not included in her art book are also posted.
