Great little controller for kids
Picked this up for my 7 yr old son, and it suited his hand size perfectly. He is able to hold the controller, reach and press all the buttons / sticks comfortably. The cable is decently long enough to reach the couch. The thumb sticks are nicer than the joycon thumb sticks too. I’ll consider a 2nd controller once my 5 yr old daughter gets interested in family multiplayer.

Faithful companion to a Switch owner
Hori's Mini Controller line dates well back to the Famicom era, and each generation they've come out with a new Mini controller for numerous platforms. This Switch Mini controller may not be wireless, but it's probably the best value for money you can get. Nice and light design makes it comfy for extended plays and its USB cable length is nothing to scoff at. The sticks use PS4 style sticks, which overall work better than Switch's own. Furthermore, it's compatible with Windows, so you get a controller for both your Switch and PC. Highly recommended, despite the colours.
