Item Description

Idol Manager is a business sim about conquering the entertainment industry using any means you deem necessary.

You take on the role of manager at a small (but growing!) talent agency. As you cultivate and train the newest generation of young pop stars, you'll have to decide who to hire and who to fire, who gets promoted when things go well and who gets reprimanded when things get sour. The personal lives of these young celebrities are a part of your business, and the life of a pop star isn't always a happy one. Their crowning personal achievements can be your greatest commercial successes, but their emotional meltdowns and PR nightmares can spell financial disaster for your company.

It's not just the idols you have to worry about. The world is full of gossip magazines, super fans, and rival groups, all thirsty for a scoop on the latest scandal. There are a lot of people who want to tear you down and are willing to play dirty, but try not to let it get to you. It's not personal, it's business.

Very addictive fun game
Idol manager is a very fun game. It takes a while at first to learn the controls, but the game also walks you through the beginning. My favorite parts were holding auditions, and the interactions with the different idols. To make the game better, I would like to see competitions between the idols at auditions and afterwords within the group. I would also like to see more interactions between different idol groups. Other than that, the overview isn't the best to look at, but I understand it's hard to make it look more appealing with all the numbers the player has to constantly be crunching to keep the company afloat. Overall, this game was a blast to play, and I will definitely be looking for a sequel hopefully that I can see some improvements. I can see this becoming a long-lasting franchise if the company is willing to keep working on them

Pretty unique business management sim
Personally love the presentation, and the game's subject matter of being idol manager is certainly a unique take on a business sim genre. It's no cakewalk as well, and will give you plenty of challenge.

good game!
In general, Idol manager is an interesting proposal within the management genre focused on the production of idols, standing out for the different options it offers both in managing the content that promotes the group and for the various problems that will arise throughout the game. and that will have to be resolved through decision-making and various actions. The biggest drawback it presents is undoubtedly the language, with texts only in English.

Diamond in the Rough
First I'd like to start to say that this game might not be for everyone, it's bare bones and unless you really appreciate micromanaging
and simulation games I'd suggest you watch a trailer or game play clip.

Now for the fun part, this game toppled my expectations... Real Hard.

The game play have, despite it's bare presentation, quite som depth to it. Everything from managing you idols and how to niche
your sister groups. The hours flew away when I tried to top the chart and claw my way through the dire straits you easily find yourself in when you have to take loans to pay loans.

Some bad things, the game doesn't support touch control. The control scheme is a bit convoluted but you'll get used to it. The game has some really great tracks but I find them under utilized, perhaps there was an option to freely choose your BGM if so I missed it.
I also wished there were more styling options for your Idols among other things, things I'm quite certain they will improve if we ever get a sequel.

Now the kicker, the story is quite good and with a great sense of humor. It also have multiple endings, depending on what choices you make. Other then the story mode there's also a Free Play mode. Story mode have three difficulty settings.
All in all, I've played this game for more then 50 hours and that's just one play through.

If you're willing to give this game a chance you get a lot of game for the money.
