ARTIUS: Pure Imagination is a fast-paced 2D action-platformer from PVic Games and IndieArk that celebrates the power of creativity, self-expression, and artistic freedom. Players take control of a team of talented artists fighting to restore imagination to a world threatened by an oppressive anti-art regime. Combining momentum-based movement, character-switching mechanics, and vibrant hand-drawn visuals, the game delivers an energetic platforming experience where art itself becomes a weapon.
Set in the culturally rich city of Rupestrine, the story follows four protagonists—Pierre the Painter, Walter the Photographer, René the Musician, and Guga the Dancer. Their peaceful artistic lives are shattered when a jealous student named PIVOLO gains control of the magical ARTIUS Book and imposes an authoritarian regime that suppresses creativity throughout the city. As inspiration fades from the world, the heroes must use their unique talents to bring art back to life.
Gameplay focuses on speed, momentum, and expressive movement. Players dash, swing, jump, and chain abilities together while switching between four artists, each possessing distinct skills that help overcome obstacles, solve puzzles, and discover hidden secrets. The game's colorful presentation draws inspiration from Brazilian culture and combines cartoon-style illustration with dynamic platforming action.
