Militsioner is a surreal first-person immersive simulation about escaping a town ruled by a colossal policeman, and its latest major announcement makes the Xbox Series X|S version and Xbox Play Anywhere support a key new way to experience its reactive world, where relationships, stealth, crime, and the Giant’s mood can all affect your escape.
Militsioner is a first-person, Kafkaesque immersive simulation set in a strange provincial town watched over by a gigantic policeman. You are an ordinary person who has been arrested despite believing you have committed no crime. With no reliable way to prove your innocence, your goal is to escape the town and reach the train station while constantly staying out of the Giant Policeman’s sight.
Rather than following a single predetermined solution, Militsioner encourages experimentation. You can explore the town, interact with its residents, manipulate relationships, steal objects, sneak through restricted areas, or break the law when necessary. The world reacts to your decisions, while characters—including the colossal lawbringer—have changing moods that can influence how they respond to you.
Escape From a Colossal Policeman
You have been arrested for a crime you insist you did not commit, leaving you with one objective: find a way out of the strange town while avoiding the ever-watchful Giant Policeman.
Reactive Immersive Simulation
The game is designed around experimentation, giving you multiple ways to approach obstacles rather than forcing you toward one solution. Your decisions and actions can change how the town and its inhabitants respond.
Manage Character Relationships and Moods
Characters have individual mood systems that influence their behavior toward you. You can attempt to build goodwill through conversations and gifts, or manipulate relationships to achieve your own objectives.
Break the Law or Stay Out of Trouble
Players can choose between legitimate and illegal approaches. You may try to convince people to help you, but you can also steal objects, break into locations, or commit other crimes when looking for an escape route.
Stealth and Evasion
The town is constantly watching. If you attract too much attention or anger its residents, the authorities may become involved, while making too much noise can also alert the Giant and force you to flee and find somewhere to hide.
A Living Town
Cars, trains, residents, and even the Giant follow their own schedules. Understanding how the town operates and choosing the right moment to act can be just as important as knowing where to go.
Multiple Ways to Escape
The game encourages players to discover different escape routes and experiment with the environment. Planning around the town's layout, characters, schedules, and the Giant's behavior can lead to different approaches.
Three-Act Structure
Recent development information describes the game as being divided into three acts, with each act opening up another part of the town and introducing its own potential ways to escape. The environment and the Giant's character also develop as the player progresses.
Xbox Series X|S Version
The newly announced Xbox version is optimized for Xbox Series X|S and is listed with Xbox Play Anywhere support, making the Xbox ecosystem a significant new platform for the surreal escape adventure.
