another great third person shooter. nice female protagonist.

What I like about this game is how good the environment looks & the way Ruby gets her job done. Theres something different about this game that will keep you playing & the playability is there. Its neither too difficult nor complicated. If you want to play a fun game & look at the cool visuals, look no further.

Easy and fun action game with good price, its worth it.

From a film lovers point of view, this game is very much a tribute to cult classics. The style of the visuals, plot, game-play and bosses feel like they come out of a B movie. However, from a gamers point of view, WET is a pretty average game. Repetition in shooting the same people gets a little old after a while, the story isn't really compelling and most of the main characters in the game are less than 2 dimensional. Also, its a wee-bit on the short side, being passable in a few days. For a Weekly Special, or for fans of movies like Grindhouse or From Dusk til Dawn, its worth the money.

Ruby (voiced by Eliza Dushku) is a master assassin on a mission in Wet, and this mission basically boils down to gunning down absolutely everything that moves, using a bullet-time mode popularized in gaming by the 2 Max Payne titles. It does add a combo system to the mix (similar to the one in Stranglehold) and the game does feature a grainy filter that fits with the whole B-grade grindhouse vibe, but that still doesn't change the fact that all that Wet offers has been done before, and better. Not bad as a budget title, but definitely not one of the top tier games of 2009.
