50 Shunen Anniversary Sakuhin - Peter & Friends - (Vinyl)

Taeko Onuki's 50th Anniversary Album is being released as vinyl!
When it comes to Taeko Onuki's most indispensable musical partner, it is undoubtedly Ryuichi Sakamoto. Since Taeko Onuki's solo debut in 1976, Sakamoto was responsible for the arrangement and performance of many of her songs through her 9th album "Coppe" in the mid-1980s, as well as the major tracks from the 1994 masterpiece "LUCY." Many of these songs made extensive use of computers and synthesizers to create a unique musical world. However, because of their distinctive sound, they were difficult to perform and express live in concert, leading to their gradual disappearance from setlists despite fans' wishes. In the summer of 2023, following Sakamoto's sudden passing, the original multi-track tapes from that era were extracted and synchronized to make live performance possible. A concert series called "Peter and Friends" was held in the 2020s, gathering these songs. All five performances over two years were sold out. This album features an almost complete recording of the concert held at EX Theater Roppongi in Tokyo on July 9, 2024.
