Death Smiles is a shooter that combines cute girls and a gothic horror environment. Windia is a normal 13 year old girl who warped into Gilbaland, a fairytale place that was not on the map. The beautiful and peaceful kingdom, however, was constantly at war with monsters and demons. Since Windia and three other girls have been taken in by an elderly man who sold his services to the king for a living, to return the favour, the girls, using their newly acquired powers, flew into the sky to face off with the demons.Cute characters, beautiful graphics and delicately drawn backgrounds, the game was a huge hit when it came out in the arcades. Take your arcade game home, published for Xbox360, the game retains its visuals excitement and gives you the comfort, or relief of playing the game in your own living room.

Excellent and accessible Cave shooter
At first I didn't think that I would like Death Smiles due to the goth-loli aesthetic. It turns out this is the perfect Cave shooter to get new players acclimated to the genre. Three diffiulty levels (excluding the insane 999 level) provide plenty of challenge for players of varying skill levels. The scoring system is very approachable for newbies as well. I recommend every shooter fan pick up this title.

Amazing Shooter.
Whether playing alone or with a friend this is an awesome classic anime-shooter. And with little, or no, knowledge of the Japanese language the menu's are easy to follow. This particular title kept me entertained for countless hours.

Superb
A great game for Beginners as well as more skilled players. the scoring system is quite easy to get a hang off once you have had the initial playthrough. The pace of this game can be compared to ProGear, however the bullet patterns are slightly slower and more random on Death Smiles.

Overall and great shooter that lacks that little extra hard difficulty that most other Cave shooters have.

Great!
A great game. I usually prefer vertical 2D shooters but this one is really good. Kind of wacky aesthetic throughout but the music is good and it's fun to play. I am sorry to see that it is out of print as more people should play it.

Not only for the hardcoregamers!
I've try this game first on Arcade, and now I can enjoy it on Xbox360. Great halloween atmospher, incredible music, kawai graphism and a lot of bullets and fun. This game is a side shooter and it's much easier than classic Cave shooters so even if you're not an hardcore gamer you can enjoy it!

Play it, you will love it!
