Roomies is a four-piece neo-soul band based in Tokyo, formed in 2019 by Sousuke Oikawa (Syn) and fronted by the soulful and sweet voice of Kevin, a vocalist often quoted as MJ. Their second album, released in January 2025, is now available on LP and features "Like This Before," the most straightforward pop tune on the album, which was selected for J-WAVE's January SONAR TRAX. ThisBefore", the most straightforward pop tune in the album, and "Stay As You Are", a groovy song full of 70's and 80's soul, which was on the power play on all radio stations in Japan for January, are among the 9 songs on this LP.
