Kurohyou: Ryu ga Gotoku Shinshou

it seemed a bit weird to me at first but, after seeing this i want to play it! it looks just as awesome as Tekken with the graphics, and i love fighting. xD

It takes awhile to get use to the different fighting system, but it is a good fighting system. The art style is not my preference, however it works for the game. I am not that far into the game, but I am loving what I am playing so far. For the fans of the Yakuza series, it is definitely worth it to see a new character.

This is the first time I have played this series of game, but the battle and adventure which makes me very unforgettable about this game. ( perhaps I would try the other series of this game title).

The exiting in the battling and the the entertainment places in the adventure parts is great.

I was reluctant since I don't speak Japanese, but this game is accessible. Fun beating up all the dudes and the visual style scores points as well. Great for the psp!

I spent most of last night playing this game. Definitely stands with the other Ryu ga Gotoku games, if you're a fan of the series you'll like this a lot. The story picks up right away and is told through Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker style cutscenes. The voice acting is superb, and the scenes are very enjoyable. Tatsuya, the protagonist, can't stand in Kiryuu's shoes, but he's still an awesome character to play as. The fighting has been altered a bit, as the HUD has been removed and the camera has been pulled up tight to your character. This makes the fighting feel heavier and more 1v1 oriented. It's a refreshing change and works well with the control scheme. Heat actions are now performed with the X button strangely, and the way your attack strings work is different. You equip different skill sets, which alter certain attributes. For example, one of the skills you can equip strengthens punch by 20% but weakens kick attacks by 20%. Another skill raises heat action damage by 20%. As you level up individual skills, their benefits increase. Those are the only two I have so far. Obviously, the language barrier is a problem if you can't read/understand Japanese. You'd probably be able to stumble through it knowing no Japanese if you played previous Ryu ga Gotoku games in English. Being able to at least read it is greatly helpful though, and following dialogue is only possible by understanding Japanese. You should be able to tell what's going on by the images in the scenes alone though. If you like Ryu ga Gotoku and don't mind playing imports, this game has all the greatness the other games in the series have.
