About playable characters, they FINALLY made Rise playable along with other new ones; they also made a Shadow version for a lot of characters: they say different things when played and they also have different animations before and after the fight.
You also have more choice while selecting the battle music and the stage and characters have been balanced more.

If you like fighting games, but more importantly, if you like Persona, you should definitely buy this one.

if you've enjoyed the first one, then this is a must have. There are more character rosters, sadly some you will have to buy them from DLC. A lot of the content is locked behind DLC, luckily those DLC are not that important since they are just colors, navigator voice, accessories, and (this one would be important) DLC characters like Marie.
