The newest entry in Kaiyodo's "REVO GEO" action-figure lineup isCamponotus japonicus, otherwise known as the black carpenter ant or Japanese carpenter ant! They're one of the largest species of ant in Japan, with a queen measuring 1.8cm and a large worker ant measuring 1.4cm. Widely distributed in Japan (except for the Amai and Okinawa regions), they prefer to build nests in sunny open areas from mountains to flatlands. This figure is amazingly detailed, with its compound eyes and body hair realistically reproduced. Its head, stomach, jaw, and legs are all posable so it can get up to all kinds of ant business, and it even comes with some ant eggs so you can reproduce its family life deep within its burrow!
