Milestone Shooting Collection 2

If I commissioned a company to personally make me a collection of ideal 'shoot em ups', that ticked every box perfectly in order to provide me with schmup joy in one package, this would be it. When I first played all of these titles, I was blown away. Aesthetically they aren't like Cave, Psikyo, Neo Geo, Taito etc. In my favourite schmup list Cave & Psikyo feature very highly. The Milestone games have their own unique semi comic book style aesthetic that I absolutely love. The plentiful mix of graphical themes and details are bonkers in the best possible way. The music in itself is absolutely superb and being born in London, UK, it reminds me so much of the 2000s music scene of the time. The Drum & Bass and dance music audio are bangers in their own right and add so much to the gameplay and atmosphere of these titles. They are hands down my favourite schmups of all time. They are so me in every way. I'm a creative person and personally love composition of music, classical piano, heavy metal electric guitar, a wide range of music genres including dance music and fine art of multiple periods. I personally aim to meld abstract painting & photomontage with my own classical music therefore, all of hese games appeal to me on multiple artistic levels. They are genuine masterpieces visually & musically and why they don't have widely recognised cult status is a complete and utter mystery to me. Maybe one day they will.

Milestone Shooting Collection 2 includes all 3 games from the first Milestone Shooting Collection (Karous, Radirgy, Chaos Field), in addition it also includes Illvelo and Radirgy Noa (the sequel to Radirgy. If you already have the first collection, I can't recommend this one enough, as it's inexpensive and includes two standalone Wii titles that'll set you back over $100 if bought separately. These are very fun games, buy this.

5 Milestone shooters on one disc makes for unbelievably great value. 'Milestone Shooting Collection 2' includes the same 3 games which made the initial 'Milestone Shooting Collection' release as well as adding both the Wii exclusive Illvelo & Radirgy Noa titles. It's like all your Christmases came at once!! (Moreso considering sourcing the original Dreamcast releases of Karous, Chaos Field & Radirgy will set you back a small fortune..)
And what of the games? Well, hardcore shooter/bullet hell freaks tend to scoff at Milestone's work in the genre, but I personally think they're a blast! Mmm-yes I do...
