Most people will overlook this game. Do not let that happen to you. The gameplay might not be for everyone but it has a easy mode for them. If you like visual novels or anything like them I strongly recommend this.

Addicting
I have never played picross before, but I found it fairly easy to learn. Once you figure it out, it can be pretty addicting. Story has some nice twists and the characters are vibrant and quickly grow on you.

Murder by Numbers Review
I must admit I haven’t finished the game yet, but from what I’ve played I think it’s a fun little game and is best played in short bursts, for a picross title it sure has a lot going on with murder mystery and characters interactions, playing like a detective visual novel with picross puzzles every now and then, however, depending on the person this could be a hit or miss since some people may not have the patience or not be interested in the story and just wanna play picross in which case look elsewhere, it’s definitely not for everyone but for me personally it doesn’t bother me as I quite enjoy the cutscenes.

The picross puzzles, however, are a tad on the easy side imo, it could be because my introduction to picross was with a harder game, either way, I recommend it if you’re into picross and like story driven visual novels or detective games, otherwise this game may not be for you.
