A Cute but Lacking Experience
The PreCure franchise is known for it's heroines transforming into magical girls and fighting off monsters to protect their city from harm. But that is not the theme of this game. This game is targeted towards very young girls and has a more "slice of life" style of play.

The game features a variety of mini games, where you will be performing tasks such as serving pastries to customers, waving pom-poms, feeding a bottle to a baby, making takoyaki, making flowers, designing outfits, and such.

All of these mini games are quite easy, and it does not appear to be possible to actually fail them. At worst, you just get a lower score.

Most of the time, the girls are in their civilian forms rather than their Pretty Cure forms.

The game is also rather lacking in options. There are essentially 4 game modes.

The primary game mode has the girls visiting a location and chatting with their group for a bit, and you'll play 2 mini games as part of the visit. You will be ranked on your performance from 1 to 3 stars. After completing the visit, you'll usually be awarded a puzzle piece, and see a scene with energy going into a baby. The puzzle pieces unlock character portraits that you can view.

The second game mode allows you to re-play any of the mini games you have done before, but without the story dialogue.

The 3rd game mode is a karaoke mode. A music video will play. You're supposed to sing along with it, but from a gameplay standpoint there's no interaction, score, or ranking. It's simply a video that you watch.

Finally there is a chat mode. Can select a girl and listen to her speak. You occasionally get a prompt that allows you to respond to her.

The game largely uses still images, but despite this the presentation is actually pretty good. The still images bounce and move in a way that makes them more interesting, and the artwork is well done. Everything is bright and colorful and is pleasant to look at. There is voice acting too, which is a nice touch.

There is some light combat in this game, in the form of a mini game. Occasionally a large monster shows up and begins throwing rocks at you. This is one of the few times the girls will transform into their Pretty Cure forms. The battle consists of avoiding a few boulders by moving to the side, and then punching them back to the monster. This is accomplished merely by moving left or right to dodge, and flicking the joycon when a gauge indicates to do so. It does not appear to be possible to lose this fight. During the dodge phase the girls just rotate around each time they are hit until you avoid a few boulders. During the 2nd phase, if you take too many hits, a computer controlled Pretty Cure will leap in and beat the monster for you.

There is no challenge to be found in this game.

If you are looking for a Pretty Cure game where you transform and defend your city from monsters, you won't find it here. But, if you have a very young daughter and either you or her has an affinity for Pretty Cure, this game can be a good way to help her develop hand to eye coordination skills and partake in some light-hearted slice of life type activities.
