A great collectible, a great alternative to the NES Mini, and a great way to practice your Japanese
In terms of substance, the Famicom Mini is everything you've already heard. The selection of games is well-varied and quite good. Even if you've played a few of them before, you will likely be exposed to some you've never played or never even heard of. It has games that are great if you want to sit down for a while, and ...

Exactly what I'd expect
Very well packaged, good condition. Similar games and same sounds as the American NES mini, but with small controllers that are very usable and directly attached. If you're ok with having the console near you, it'll be a good time. Very workable as an English-only customer.

Great little console
It's a really nice item for collectors. The shape and look of the original is perfectly replicated. The mini controls look uncomfortable, but actually it's surprising how comfortable they are.
