The translated version will be amazing.
I've had so much fun with this game so far, playing it with the instant translator on Google Translate is fine the story can still be followed so it's an okay sacrifice, I'd rather do that than wait a year or so.

Very good.
The gameplay sections are really standard muso / dynasty warriors stuff. You get basic attacks, special moves and all the rest of it. You take out hordes of enemies and also take on lieutenants, bosses etc. Really standard stuff, but it is well executed.
But you're not here for the gameplay! You're here for the waifus, and this game delivers in spades. You basically get to hang out with all your friends that you wish were real for another few weeks, and wonder again, in what way makoto would turn you down if you asked her out irl. The new AI chan is cute, too.
Overall, this game is great for fans of p5, but I can't see it as being much interest to others.
The level of Japanese you need to understand is fairly low, but some of the police-related scenes have gluts of specific vocab. Otherwise it's not too hard.

Not Atlus But still a Persona game!
Need some Japanese skills for some parts but shouldn’t be a problem throughout the game.
Plays like any other Koei tecmo game with characters you loved in persona5.
