Set in the expansive Paldea region—a land of lakes, towering mountains, deserts, and bustling cities—players can explore freely at their own pace. Travel seamlessly across land, water, and air by riding the Legendary Pokémon Koraidon in Pokémon Scarlet. Begin your journey by choosing one of three partner Pokémon—Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly—and set out to discover what lies beyond the horizon.
Unlike previous entries, Pokémon Scarlet offers three major story paths that can be tackled in any order. Challenge Pokémon Gyms along Victory Road, track down massive Titan Pokémon on the Path of Legends, or take on Team Star in ★ Starfall Street ★, using the Auto Battle feature to advance. These intertwined narratives provide freedom of choice while shaping a cohesive adventure.
A standout addition is the Terastal Phenomenon, which allows Pokémon to Terastallize, changing their type and unlocking powerful abilities during battle. Combined with online trading, co‑op exploration, and Pokémon HOME compatibility, Pokémon Scarlet encourages connection and experimentation across the global Pokémon community. The game is fully compatible with Nintendo Switch 2, featuring optional enhancements such as improved visuals and frame rate via free updates when played on the newer system.
