Great game!!
This was a great purchase! I have played a lot of baseball games but in terms of games this has to be right up there with the best. It has an authentic feel to it while delivering great game modes and amazing batting experiences!
Awesome game!
Awesome game! Very enjoyable and complex mechanics. New Koshien mode is neat but he language barrier makes it a bit difficult to enjoy.
Took several years, but what a return.
Pro Yakyuu Spirits is a series I’ve been following for YEARS. So to see it finally come to the 8th generation (albeit only a year or two before the end of it), is a welcome return.
The bump in visual fidelity is bolstered by the great use of face-scanning and the always stellar commentary crew. Even if it being in Japanese is difficult for a Westerner such as myself to follow along with, it stands as a note to a certain American baseball video game franchise that the competition is watching.
Gameplay is just as fluid as before, with excellent pitching and batting feedback. Easy to pick up and play or dive into a pennant race in no time. Online play also makes its’ way over though PS Plus is needed for that; fair warning.
Overall, Pro Yakyuu Spirits 2019 is THE live-action baseball game on the PS4. Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu is now reunited with its’ younger brother. If you have any interest in getting into the world of yakyuu, this is a fantastic place to start.
