A worthy return to Toromi Island.
A fun minish cap clone. Even with the updated visuals, it's not one of the better looking 2D PS5 game around, but it does run really well and the details they've put into the game world is really impressive. There's so much going on that truly does make the world look and feel alive. Personally, exploring this game world made me feel similar to how I felt when I played the GBC and GBA Pokémon games way back when. The quick select wheel is a real quality of life improvement and fixes one of my biggest gripes with the original reverie on the PS4/Vita. Combat is still fun but the hit boxes could have been improved, as it doesn't feel like they've been changed much from the original game. Overall it's worth taking this journey to Toromi Island regardless of if this is your first or second visit.
