River City: Rival Showdown

As a kid, I loved River City Ransom. The story, the animations, the power ups. This game is that and way more. The graphics style reminded me of Octopath Traveler. I wonder if Square/Enix got the idea from this game. Pixel art with 3D back drops with some modern effects sprinkled here and there. I got sucked in and have only gotten two endings. Such a blast from the past with a modern take. And the music! That Double Dragon final stage music still kicks! Now to hunt down all the other games within this world.....

When I hear the word kunio, this take me back to my childhood days where I never stopped playing this series. I highly recommend this game to any kunio fans and they definitely won't regret buying this awesome game.

I've bought the first River City Tokyo Rumble from Play Asia and loving it so much so I would like to own this 2nd title of the series in my 3DS library. Game play and control and similar to the first Tokyo Rumble with new story lines. Combat combos are assorted and enhanced and always fun to play with, a must have for old school fighting fans!!

graphic is much beautiful than Tokyo Rumble. Love it.

I think there are like 30 nekketsu games in japan, so very hard to know where this game fits.

Lets say this is the same gameplay from the tokyo rumble game, but different story, some parts of the game includes the double dragon music!

This is a beat them up rpg, you walk aroung the city that is in tokio I think, you can enter stores, talk to people and level up. The graphics are 3d backgrounds and 2d characters sprites similar to the nes version. I only played like 1 hr, but so good game, I got hooked to this game, also a plastic keychain was included inside.
