Dance game for the casual gamer
This game is much more for the casual gamer while Dance Central is very much for the hardcore gamer or someone who actually wants to learn how to dance. Also imo (& everyone I've shown it to) its a lot more fun then Dance Central simply because you can pretty much jump in & go unlike Dance Central where you have to spend ages learning all the steps before you can play a song then you have to do it all over again for the next song endlessly.
While the song list is annoyingly small the songs included are very good/catchy & make you want to try them. My flatmate complains whenever I play it cos he gets the songs stuck in his head. The small song list is the only reason I didn't give this a 5 star rating. Hopefully more will come out as DLC soon
The 1st time you play you will be put of by the little you on the left hand side but after a while you learn to ignore that & focus on the dancer & while you can turn that feature off its part of the games odd charm.
Also the game gives you the option to "save" your performance & if you do it places that in front of 1 of the backup dancers so its possible to have 6 of you on the screen at 1 time; 5 saved dances/backup dancers & the real time you currently playing.
Each save uses about 50MB however so if you don't have a hard drive or are playing at a friends house with a USB stick or memory card it can eat up your space very fast.
Also it only shows the current profiles saved dances so you cant save a bunch of your friends & have them as backup dancers while you play which annoyed me a lot I wanted to do that rather badly but it's not that big of a deal.
All in all a very fun dancing game which lets you jump in fairly fast with simple yet fun game mechanics. Get this if you want a much more relaxed & not so serious dancing game for the Kinect.
