Россия и Соединённые Штаты борются за обладание быстро истощающимися мировыми энергоресурсами, и США построили космическую станцию для сбора энергии солнца. Российские войска захватывают эту станцию и направляют собранную солнечную энергию в волну взрыва, которая уничтожает Сан-Франциско, пытаясь заставить США безоговорочно сдаться. В ответ США приказывают своим вооружённым силам вернуть космическую станцию, прежде чем русские смогут уничтожить свою следующую цель — Нью-Йорк.
