It's A Blast
Bomberman II is the third Bomberman title ever released (Bomberman for the PC Engine came before this). It plays very, is almost exactly, similar to the PC Engine title. The goal is to defeat all the enemies in the level and find the exit hidden among soft blocks. A power-up is hidden in each level and a bonus round occurs after the fifth level in each world. There are 48 stages in this game total.
Some of the graphics are scaled down from the PC Engine title for the Famicom's limited palette, but they still look nice and cartoony. The music is rather mellow, something that isn't common in the Bomberman games' music, but has some enjoyable songs which include remixes from the previous games. The gameplay works fine, though there's still the issue where you can start a stage and then get killed 3 seconds in due to random enemy placement. This also features multiplayer with up to 3 people, though it's not as complex as the later games.
It's a great game overall, and is worth checking out if you're into the old Bomberman games or just want to experience some nostalgia.
