Item Description

World End Syndrome is a romantic adventure visual novel game created from a collaboration between Arc System Works and TOYBOX.

World End Syndrome follows the story of a 17-year-old high school junior trying to escape his troubled past. After causing an accident resulting in his older sister’s death, he receives an invitation to transfer to Mihate High School. He takes it gratefully, hoping to start a new life and forget his past.

But Mihate Town is not the coastal paradise it appears to be. It is home to the legend of the Yomibito, where the dead come back to life every 100 years. Once resurrected, the Yomibito attack the living to regain their sanity, but the dead’s thirst is never quenched. This year happens to be 100 years since the last known incident…

As the protagonist navigates his new life with a colorful cast of new friends, a student at Mihate High suddenly dies. The murder sends shockwaves through the idyllic town as he finds himself caught in a string of strange incidents, romance, and unforgettable summer experiences…

Great VS on Switch!
One of the better Visual Novels on Switch! If you enjoy this genre, definitely get this game, especially the Day One edition if it's still available! It has some really neat bonus items at no additional cost!

World End Syndrome
Sometimes one can read books or watch movies, hear the stories other people say, but this visual novel can put you in the great new world. With its own experience, riddles, plots, music and magnitude. I love it. Thanks again dear Play-Asia for making me happy. Games are my sole joy!

Almost perfect.
I really only have one negative thing to say, but I'll go over the pros first.

Pros
-Great story
-Good use of atmospheric tension
-beautiful imagery
-Amazing soundtrack
-Lots of choices
-5 romance options
-Get all 5 ed with the girls to uncover the truth
-diverse chars with good development
-Remembers which place you went

Con
-You can't see where anyone is in the areas, so you have to go one by one to find the girl you are trying to get the ending for. Luckily, it remembers where you were/who you interacted with, even if you went to the title screen the second you interacted with the girl. This keeps you from trying to remember who is where, but it really is something that should have been there without having to check. It's a little tedious, but worth it to play the game.

Overall: I'm not joking when I say it only has one negative to me. It was easily one of the best VNs I ever played. Dark story with good comedic breaks/romance in between. Final score would be 4.5/5 but that isn't an option so I had to pick 4.

great game
Really A great visual novel, it has an interesting story, multiple languages, fully voiced in Japanese. You can press to go on as usual, but it also has and auto feature that once the voice-over is done it keeps on going, nice way to enjoy it. And the graphics are great.

A great visual novel!
World End Syndrome is telling the story of a student who got transfered to Mihate town. But this town has many secrets! One of them is the mystery of the yamibito, people who come back to life to kill. They say it happens every 100 years and the time has finally come again! This game has both a relaxing visual novel side and a horror visual novel side. Your choices change the outcome of the story and you may not get the ending you want in your first play. I really enjoyed this game and I recomend anyone who wants to play a good visual novel to play this! You won't be dissapointed!!
