A Bit Lacking...
I know I shouldn't be expecting much from an H-game, but it's a bit unfortunate where the systems that exist could make for a pretty fun RPG-lite, but as it is, the mechanics really don't marry the gameplay in the way that they should. The weird boob-training mechanic that lets you customize the characters breasts sizes and shapes have a direct impact on your stat-growths which is amusing and kind of a neat idea for level progression.
But it doesn't really feel all that satisfying when you get to the gameplay, and realize it's mainly just waiting around pressing attack over and over again, while waiting for your characters 'mana' bar to fill over time. Where even then, doesn't really mean much, because in this game, all characters have a max MP gauge of 200, and at set intervals, you get a passive bonus. At 100+ mp you get a boost to your stats, and at 200 MP, you get a massive boost to your stats and some other bonuses.
So that sounds all well and good, except in this game you can only obtain MP very slowly over time as turns pass, by attacking, or receiving damage. There's no way to like... have your character 'focus' to get more MP, or to use items to gain mp.
So you just have this combat system where by missing two really simple combat tweaks like giving the enemies a little more health so you can wail on them with MP moves, and making the MP economy a bit more giving (I mean really, it's a silly H game. Just let my characters be aroused all the time, who cares. adjust the combat values to compensate for higher damage output.)
But instead most of the game you're watching very stale gameplay of watching your characters use basic attacks with little in the way of decision making.
Aside from that, I know this game isn't about the story, but the characters. And frankly they're pretty one-dimensional, and I expected that, so it's ok right? Well it would've been if there was more damn camaraderie between them. I understand that the point is that they're a crew of monster girls who're pricks and that's supposed to be shown in an amusing way. But it kind of felt like just watching the same interaction play out for an entire video game. 2 or 3 of the girls are asshats, 2 characters are always taking a beating and crying and looking kinda pathetic, and then the other 3 are more or less the voice of reason/progresser of plot.
It just felt... ehhhhh... Really wish the girls were just goofy and dumb as hell and pretty friendly with one another with occasional bouts of mischief in creative ways. But ultimately the narration was pretty stale.
The exploration was simple but pleasing, along with the music. You won't remember any of it, but it will make you feel very nostalgic and reminiscent of ps2's glory days, and for me at least, that was worth something. Just felt like vibes.
Also as a note, keep a STERN EYE on anything with an exclamation point. That's how you progress the plot and if you just try to move around from location to location, you're going to be very upset and confused as to how the heck you're supposed to proceed.
The game very unceremoniously makes random nothing quests main storyline quests with absolutely no narration or commentary from the main cast. You simply just cannot proceed without doing this random task that looks like you got off some random nobody npc you'd just forget about.
Anyways, my review is that the game is pretty fun with enjoyable sound design and good animation and gimmicks that'll please the average horny enjoyer. But some design oversights and poor gameplay decisions will hamper your experience a bit and make it feel like the gameplay and combat plays itself quite a bit more than you're hoping for.
