Splatoon 1 in 2023
The start to a great series! Although lacking compared to newer games, this one was still a good time, with gameplay and a unique atmosphere unlike any other video game, let alone a shooter. The map rotation is a bit weird, with only 2 maps playable at a time every 2 hours, but they're designed well enough to not feel tiring even when playing for a full 2-hour rotation.
IMPORTANT NOTE! A few months ago, without announcement, Nintendo shut down the servers for this game, disabling all multiplayer elements. The only thing you're left with is a very basic singleplayer mode. So. I wouldn't recommend buying it nowadays.

Splatoon is a very fun and cute game. For the first time a non-violent first person shooter which can be enjoyed by all ages. Highly recommended for all Wii U owners!
