Great price, great product, heads up on new item
As an individual item, I absolutely love this controller. Sure, there's no amiibo, no rumble, no gyro, but if you're just gaming, it simply WORKS. The prints on these special editions (I have Pac-Man if this review rolls onto the generic for all) are vibrant and don't look like they're gonna wear off any time soon. The sticks are responsive and the buttons are meaty and easy to use. I like the quick access to the spare button on the back, I've even changed it in the middle of a game, it's so easy to tweak.
My only negatives:
1) I wish the handles were a bit longer, but I think that's so it can sit on the dock with no worries about blocking the link/charge in TV mode.
2) The official site says not to use this while docked on an OLED. I have personally and had no issues, but I'm wondering if it's to not use an ORIGINAL Switch with and OLED dock because it doesn't fit that way (it's just a hair too small for the dock)
3) There is now an adapter available to make the Split Pad into a full wired controller, but as of now (1/27/22) it is not available individually, meaning if that interests you, head over to the search bar here on Play-Asia and look for the set. I'm holding out and hoping one day they do put out the adapter individually.
