Steam Gift cards work just like a gift certificate that can be redeemed on Steam for the purchase of games, software, wallet credit, and any other item you can purchase on Steam. You can find Steam Gift Cards at plenty of retail stores across the world in a variety of denominations.

Important Changes By Steam:

Each Steam User Account is associated with a specific currency, which you can see in the top right corner of your Steam Client. Going forward, you may encounter an error if you try to activate a Steam Wallet Code issued in a different currency than the one of your Steam User Account.

HOW TO REDEEM THE CARD FOR STEAM MONEY:

1. Set your Steam to Japanese Language. (Also, change your country of residence to Japan if asked).
2. Go to this page: https://store.steampowered.com/steamaccount/addfunds
3. Click "Add ¥ 500" (adding ANY other denomination will not work. i.e 2500 JPY).
4. Click "Add funds"
5. Under " Please select a payment method " SELECT "Steam prepaid card" (DO NOT SELECT WEBMONEY, this is different).
6. Click "Continue"
7. Click "Continue to Degica"
8. Enter the code.
9. If entered correctly it will successfully add the 500 JPY.
10. Repeat from STEP 2 again all the steps this time select "2500 JPY".
11. You should have now redeemed 3000 JPY from the card.

NOTE: JP Steam Gift Cards will work on Accounts that use Japan Currency Only.
