Hiroshi Nagai is a popular illustrator who has been active since the 1970s on numerous record jackets and advertisements, including the jacket work for the timeless masterpiece "A LONG VACATION" (Eiichi Otaki), which continues to be loved by many people.
This book is an expanded and revised edition of ``THE JOURNEY BEGINS,'' the first collection of self-recommended works. From the early works that shaped Hiroshi Nagai to his recent paintings, record jackets selected by Nagai himself include poolside, cars, people, night views, waves, buildings, and his signature palm trees swaying in the wind. We have included only works that everyone has seen at least once in magazines, advertisements, etc.
This time, while using the content of this first edition, the cover has been changed from cloth to paper cloth as a popular edition. We will be publishing this as a [revised and expanded edition] that includes three new works, including works that were presented at previous exhibitions.
