Decent little cover
The cover itself clips onto the top of your switch and is pretty easy to pull on and off as necessary (though according to the box, you can in fact dock it with the cover on, i just switch it in and out for when I need to have my privacy shield on.) Right out of the box, the cover itself doesn't seem to enjoy being folded back, but I know that's just going to be a matter of breaking in the fold in that case. This is mostly just screen/dust protection, something to be used in conjunction with a hard case, not to replace it. Or if you like to live life on the wild side, something to just help protect the glass when you shove your switch in your bag to just live its most adventurous life.
However, the best part is the joycon covers. I've had several different joycon covers since I got my switch and these have to be the best of the soft silicone ones. All the other ones just started sliding off immediately and definitely didn't feel like they'd be great to use without the joycons attached. These are different. They slide on and while they're definitely going to come off when you want them to, but it's not going to turn into the same sliding game where you wonder how long it's gonna be before the grips themselves tear. The back of the grips are nicely textured to help improve grip. The only downside to them is that unlike other silicone covers, they don't add just that little bit of ergonomic roundness to the back of them to just generally make holding the unit that more pleasant.
All and all, it's a solidly built, well-designed set and I'm glad I picked it up!
