Starts slow, then becomes addicting
The game can be hard to understand at first, but stick with it. You’ll staring at menus a lot when playing this one, but I actually like that aspect. A bit different from a traditional RPG, if feels like mix of an old school RPG and a mobile game. Glad to have this one.

Niche, but entertaining (even if it's too grindy) RPG from SquareEnix
Square Enix does put out a lot of RPGs with a bit of twist, which may not be for everyone, but it's gives it a bit of twist and fresh feel to the genre. This is no different.... it may not be for everyone, but it may find its audience to give it love.

So Addictive!
I'll start this off saying that Various Daylife isn't for everyone. It's mostly menus and it can't get a bit repetitive, and exploring and leveling up sometimes feels like an idle game. BUT! I love games where you watch numbers go up, menus are a delight to navigate as each job has a quirky illustration with the characters in it, and you're always makin progress somehow (be it leveling up, getting money to upgrade party members and gear, or just unlocking more jobs and skills)

It's delightful from start to finish, and it took me some 30h to see the first credits roll. Pleas notice that the REAL story begins once you "beat" the main story, and then the min-max begins. It's very fun and charming, and a quirky experience from SquareEnix

good game!
Various Daylife manages to be a very entertaining RPG within its repetitive and simple formula. I highlight the triple technique that manages to give an air of freshness to turn-based battles.
However, coming from Apple Arcade, it should be considered as a minor installment that comes at a reduced price, and not as a great release. It seems to me a more enjoyable game on laptops, for this reason, above all, I would recommend the Nintendo Switch version
