Essential
A turn-based RPG that combines a serious and highly dramatic plot with crazy and absurd moments. Besides fighting, there are tons of things you can do like sing karaoke, play baseball, darts, mahjong, shogi, casino,... even try to watch bad movies in the theater and not fall asleep!

Although it is the seventh chapter, it is not necessary to have played the previous six games. Ichiban Kasuga is the new protagonist and the beginning of her own story is written here.

Entertaining
The main story is good and complex enough to keep you entertained. The world building in this one is great, lots of details and some of the best side content for which the Yakuza series is known for. This game masters the combination of super serious dialogues and over the top moments. Great fun.

A must buy.
Simply put this game is great. The fact that this is now turn-based does nothing to detract from the style as this game is just as fun and over-the-top as the previous games. If you love turn-based RPGs you'll really enjoy this game.

simply, a lost Game of the year
the storyline of the game is simply magnificent. you will be playing as Ichiban the hero of the game going through many phases of his yakuza life. from zero to hero, the suffering, the betrayals and the fighting to find the truth, this game got it all. moreover, the mini games are so funny and amazing that it will make you sometimes forget about the main story and just play them. i spent hours playing SEGA arcade stuff just to break some old records :D. Also, the game will let you experience relationships between the party members and they are worth it.
The atmosphere , the streets , the buildings will give you a real feeling of Japan with some differences in the names but, they are the real deal. if you want to see some of the real japan location in the video game, play this.
now regarding the fighting, it is a turn base which it a come back to the classic JRPG playing style. the BGM is nice also but not the best. there are a lot of things you can do in this game and it is worthy of the title to be the game of the year
