Different from traditional shmups, this one has many shorter stages, with the gimmick being that you can see two versions/dimensions of it at the same time, and your ship can instantly teleport between both. It's an interesting gameplay mechanic that gets used well. As the game goes on, other navigional features get introduced that not only make for new hazard designs, but more ways to destroy as many ships as possible. The latter not only nets you higher scores, but a higher stage rank as well. That, and the collectible data cubes makes for decent play value.
While the story in this kind of game is usually something to glance over, it's well presented in this game, with well-drawn comic illustrations.
This game was a nice surprise, and I recommend it to any shmup fan looking for something different.
