Potential not fully brought out
This game is based off of an original internet novel written by a regular gal. It gained so much popularity online that they published a book, which lead to this game. I played this game without having read the story.
Pros:
1.) Kiyone Kazu's illustrations (if you're a fan). This is the same artist who worked on Hakuouki and the original Hiiro no Kakera. The colors she uses and her illustrations are just beautiful.
2.) New take on the Japanese demon, oni, in modern civilization, so that idea is original and intriguing.
3.) Voice actors are stellar.
Cons:
1.) I felt the storylines for each character were shallow. There should have been and could have been more depth or detail to each character. For some reason, no one reached me. I couldn't identify with, well, anyone.
2.) I'm a Kiyone fan. However, you can tell they rushed her in some of these stills and as for one of the male characters in the game, he looks exactly like another character from Hakuouki - ie lack of originality which seems to be an underlying problem I felt from this game.
