Red Dead Redemption

As a matter of fact, you must have played this game weather or not you like GTA or Western movies.
It will keep you busy even if you let the main story aside.
Hunt, rob, save people or tie them up on the railway... explore the "not so huge" world, discover treasures and make yourself a name... become a legend of the west.

Different to GTA but I love it. Always wanted to be a cowboy!

Despite playing a lot of games, I wasn't really interested in Red Dead Redemption before release. I'm not a Western fan (Back to the Future III aside!), and I'd found GTAIV clunky and dull.

But on a whim, I ordered it immediately after launch. And wow! I was hooked! The single-player campaign is breath-taking - the view, the environment, the setting, everything is just done so well. The gameplay is smooth and fun, and the quests are engaging.

And getting a posse of friends together in multiplayer is great! Whether you're messing around in the Mexican desert shooting coyotes, defending an abandoned fort from waves of police, or pitching your gang of friends against another gang in a shootout, there's always plenty to do - although I'd often find myself bluffing through a tense game of Liar's Dice.

Great game, great DLC. Absolutely stunning. Buy it!

The game grows so well as you keep playing it. It's expansive universe bursts out new flavours with every play and new experiences and objectives only enhance the experience. Even if you didn't really like GTA (I didn't), this is worth a purchase.
