Cult Classic
Red Seeds Profile is not for everyone. The graphics are pretty mediocre, the game's sound mix questionable (sometimes the dialogue is drowned out by background music) and the combat a bore. Yet the game is not only very entertaining, it's one of the best detective games available.
I won't spoil the story by going into details, but needless to say the game plays out like an unofficial tribute to Lynch's "Twin Peaks". Agent York Morgan is as eccentric a character as you'll ever see, but behind his arrogance, tics, and other quirks (including questionable sanity), is a highly intelligent and competent investigator. And investigating a bizarre small town murder is what you'll spend your time doing when you're not busy helping out the locals who are just as weird as York.
You'll be so engrossed with the happenings that quickly the mediocre graphics, combat and sound become background noise to what's an excellent game. Better than Heavy Rain? I think so!
