All new and improved!
Tenchu for the PS2, PSP and 360 stuck to the formula laid down by the original on the PS1. A great game in its day and still fun for this old gamer, it was none the less gaining ever more diminishing returns as each sequel came out. The series was in need of a reboot.
Little did I expect that the first attempt on the Wii would be it. The game has been made with the controls and strengths of the system in mind.
Levels are well structured and each plays out as a little puzzle with various approaches based upon your weapon/item set (which becomes more customised on later replays).
The only major criticism of the game is the first person sword fights, which have very sensitive controls which do not match the movement of the player so well.
All in all, a great return to form for the series which made me by a PS1, great levels and graphics (especially for a 3rd party - wish others would try). Though the FP sword fights are lame there is more than enough here to warrant a purchase for fans of the series of anyone after something different for the Wii.
