The Grimm Reapress and the Drearytale Monster is an adventure RPG that takes players into the eerie worlds of Grimmoires, mysterious picture books containing traumatic tales of girls and their misfortune. Play as Mono Brightman, a lonely girl who ventures into the abandoned Libratarium after learning that her beloved older sister was taken there after contracting the terrifying Paper Mortis disease.

Inside the Libratarium, Mono encounters the legendary monster Märchendia, known as Mär, and forms a contract with him to search the picture books and rescue her sister. Although Mär seeks revenge against humanity, Mono must work alongside him as they journey through the grim and mysterious worlds hidden within the Grimmoires.
