Action Replay 4M Auto Plus

This is a must have for any Saturn owner, even for the region bypass and ram expansion alone. Excellent product.

If you have a Sega Saturn, this item is very important. It's a memory to save games. It has built in cheat codes for certain games. And most importantly, it takes away the region code. Japan was blessed with more games and are very good and if you are from the US, you can finally play these games.

The Sega Saturn recognizes it right away and Boots up right away

The unit I was sent worked fine as an AR device but the expansion RAM didn't work at all. Considering I bought it specifically to play RAM expansion games, this is a complete product fail for me. I have an older "Action Replay 4M Auto Plus" - the one with the serial port on top which I purchased back in the 90's, and it works flawlessly on all of my Saturn consoles - this rules out problems with the console and the game. In searching around the Internet it seems like this particular defect is a regular occurrence with this version of the cartridge. Unless you live in Hong Kong I would recommend against buying it from Play-Asia because although they've very polite, the return process is not consumer friendly. I'm not trying to focus on the service I received, but it's absolutely relevant to a purchasing decision to know the return process - especially if the item is known to have a high rate of defects. It took three weeks of back and forth before they would approve an RMA and even though I've shown them video demonstrating the defect they required me to pre-pay return postage and only agreed to reimburse me if they decided that the product was defective when it arrives back in Hong Kong.

This is a must have for a Sega Saturn Owner (Best memory card possible)
