A new era for Figma.
The question you may well be asking yourself before purchasing this new Miku Figma could be 'Is she worth the money, if I have the existing vanilla Miku?'. Before she arrived, I was wondering much the same thing, yet I'm happy to report that the answer is a resounding 'Absolutely!'.
Not only is the paint application and detailing far superior to the previous build, but Miku 2.0 is a Guinea pig of sorts for the new Figma joint system. She is far more poseable than any previous Figma I've seen, with the notable exception of Drossel Charming, meaning that she can be displayed in a myriad of ways. Note though, that it's not possible to head-swap this new Figma with the older style ones, which is a definate shame.
It's hard to know how to put this delicately, but Max Factory have been paying special attention to Figma butt technology of late, and Miku might have the finest 'derriere' we've seen yet. Y'know... if you're into that sort of thing.
She also comes with a guitar, a microphone (and stand) and a pair of - extremely delicate - angel wings. No trademark 'Negi', oddly, but more than enough accessories to keep you entertained. Best of all, along with the usual assortment of hands and faces, she includes a pair of (non-poseable) hands specifically designed to lay flat against a smooth surface, perfect if you want to pose her on top of a computer workstation or a table.
This really is an exceptional Figma, a little taller than recent releases too, and it will probably be the definitive 1/12 scale Miku action figure for a good time to come. Highly recommended.
