Adorable and Addictive
As a fan of the Project Diva games, I finally got to give Mirai a shot. The gameplay is slightly different this time, instead of notes flying into place, you have a timing wheel with different button inputs on it. As the spinner hand reaches a note, you press the corresponding button. The timing does take some getting used to, and it occasionally seems a bit off, but the casual nature of this entry makes it less of an issue. There are a number of songs, though not as many as PJDf on the Vita, and for the most part they are all very good (and only one repeat from PJD). There are also some AR modes that I haven't gotten to try yet, the game includes some AR cards for it as well, which is a nice bonus. Overall it's a great alternative to PJD, and a great rhythm game in it's own right. It's also insanely adorable.
