This thing lets you connect rca devises to hdmi cables, this doesnt make the quality of the picture better, the purpose of this is that new tvs doesnt have the rca connectors any more, so the old retro console become imposible to connect, with this thing, you can fix this problem.

This thing works very nicely, also I took off all extra cables I had, just left an hdmi cable reasy to connect my retro consoles!

On my new led tv ps2 games looked very bad(sound was even worse)but this product helped a lot, now i can play with joy.
If your ps2 games look good on your tv with hdmi with this item it will look even better.

It works, nice clear image and sound to play my PS2 on, no lag even with 4 players, my only issue is that the HDMI cable doesn't seem to sit perfectly in the slot, i have to wiggle it around a bit until the image becomes clearer and leave it in that exact spot or otherwise it's fuzzy with random dots around the screen, no issue otherwise because it works... tried another "brand" before this and it didn't work at all.

Recently got a HD TV without red/yellow/white inputs. Now I can use my old devices, like my Super Nintendo Console, with the HD TV!

I tried a half dozen different adapters to get my old PS2, and WII working with my new Vizio LED/LCD over HDMI. I use a Denon receiver and wanted everything to go through HDMI. This is the ONLY true plug and play unit that worked. I don't have time to troubleshoot compatibility issues. I bought 2 of these, one for the PS2 and one for the WII and now I am fully HDMI - with only one cable from the Denon to the TV... elegant and uncluttered. Caveat - had to give the TV a moment or two to sync up with the WII - my TV is a newer digital TV that automatically adjusts for the incoming video signal - so it displayed "no signal" for about a minute before it kicked in. Older/other TVs may require manual setting to 720p or 1080, etc..
