Ray’z Arcade Chronology (Multi-Language)

This is a good collection of games. You technically get five games (but it's technially really three). This collection actually includes Laysection/Rayforce/Galactic Attack/Gunlock - how many name changes can one game really have???? - which is a nice addition not found in the North American release which only had RayCrisis and RayStorm. They all function and run pretty well with decent input lag and control. I would recommend this to fans of slower paced shoot 'em ups that like a strategy of balanced risk reward in the gameplay.

If you're in the market for Ray'z Arcade Chronology and don't feel like jumping through hoops to snag a copy from Strictly Limited Games, do yourself a favor and pick this up instead! It's the same exact game, all in English - only difference is a little blue square denoting the region on the front of the box. And PlayAsia doesn't keep a limit like all the other limited run retailers so you don't have to FOMO over this title! Great collection! Three classics from a great period in the history of shoot 'em ups! I own Galactic Attack on Saturn, Ray Storm and Ray Crisis on PlayStation and one of my favorite things to do is compare just how well they ported these games and I must say- they did a darn fine job porting these arcade classics back in the day (Especially the Saturn port of Ray Force)! Makes me appreciate these games all the more!

Pity be those 3,000 people still waiting nearly two years for the regular SLG release of Ray'z to even enter production, all for R-Gear. If you're like me and don't give a crap about some single-stage prototype, grab this Asian edition here while it's in stock and reasonably priced. Not only is it in English, but the game was never patched, so you get the final full release on cart. Great stuff for the shelf!

O jogo é muito bom e apesar de asiático veio todo em inglês, capa, mídia e jogo. Recomendo muito.

It has all the basic things you need in a small collection like this (save states, screen filters, achievements, online leaderboards, customizable controls, etc.). The arranged music is quite enjoyable, and the game info on the sides of the screen during normal play is a nice touch. The biggest problem aside from the price is that RayStorm and RayCrisis have some nasty slowdown when too much is being rendered at once, even in the HD remasters, which is a shame. Other than that, all three games play very well across the board. Not bad at all.
