Without a doubt, the greatest game Nintendo has ever made!
This game has been the definition of perfection for me and my friends for the past 9 years and we still play it all the time! We can't get enough of it!
Playing the Japanese version was a nice little change from the North American version. The first change I noticed was Topi from the Ice Climber level. In this game, it's a seal, in the North American version, he is a white puffball thing.
As far as Smash Brothers DX is concerned, it is the greatest and most long lasting game I have ever seen on any console, and it is only on the Gamecube!!!
After being let down on several occasions in the Super Smash Brothers Brawl, I was very excited to return to the Gamecube version!
There is nothing I can say about this game that hasn't been said 100's of times, just know that it is THE perfect fighting game for single and up to 4 player simultaneous fun!
This is all Nintendo all stars featuring Mario, Link, Samus, Donkey Kong, Kirby, Pikachu, and Fox. Some new comers include the evil Ganondorf, King of the Koopas Bowser, and the legendary Mewtwo of the Pokemon world! There are also many more characters to choose from. I personally like Roy from Fire Emblem, a game available only in Japan until the Gameboy Advance. There are also 29 selectable stages for multiplayer with a variety of game modes to choose from! The single player mode has a number of gameplay styles to select as well. The most notable is the adventure mode playing through full levels and battling the Nintendo characters at the end. There are 290 trophies you can get (3 are locked). There is just so much to do in this game.
Just a quick display of how much time I put into this game, I have put over 10,000 hours into the North American version alone with rings being burned into it. Once I got the Japanese version, I literally put it in and did not turn the power off! This game is a masterpiece and EVERYONE should own this game!!!!
